Chiangrai province covers some 11,678 square kilometers with a population of 1.23 million. The average elevation is 580 meters above sea level, Myanmar borders on the north, and Laos on the north and northeast. The provincial capital is 829 kilometers north of Bangkok. Chiang Rai was founded in 1262 by King Meng Rai and was the first capital of Lanna Thai Kingdom (Kingdom of a Million Rice fields). The province contains Thailand's northernmost point at Mae Sai which is well known for its crisp mountain scenery, hill tribes and the border-town. Towards the East of Mae Sai, it falls within the region known as the Golden Triangle, the area where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge. Let enjoy your trip with us!
Day 1
AIRPORT PICK UP – Half day city and temple tour
Arrive Chiangrai Airport and pick up service by private transportation with local guide in Chiangrai
Private transfer to hotel in Chiangrai (our tour guide will help you check in at hotel)
Free time at leisure
Pick up from the hotel visit King Mengrai Monument. Then visit temple of Wat Phra Keaw Chiangrai; Wat Phra Singha, Wat Phra That Doithong, Hill tribes Museum or Oubkham Museum to see the golden costumes and jewelry. Continue the trip to the viewing point, Doi Khao Kwai, then proceed to the wonderful temple building by artist, Wat Rong Khun and return to the hotel

Day 2
Doi Tung – Mae Sai-Golden Triangle – Chiangsaen (B/L)

Pick up from hotel Depart from the hotel by the air–con van to the highest peak on the Thai–Myanmar
border. Doitung, provides an opportunity to view en route many different Lahu and Akha village as well as terraced farming areas, and sees from distance the Princess Mother’s frigid flower garden. Doitung Temple, built in A.D. 1493 is located at the peak. Its scenery reminds one of Switzerland, features many unique images and temple architecture Lunch at local restaurant
Then, overlooking the entire northern rice field shopping on the Thai – Myanmar border. After that go straight to the Golden Triangle,Opium House at bend of the mighty Maekhong River and see the ancient city of Chiangsaen, where ruins of numerous temples, stupas, Buddha images are still to be seen and artifacts and archaeological finds exhibited at the National Museum.
Evening, return to the hotel.

Day 3
Visit Doi Mae Salong – Tea Farm and depart to Chiangrai Airport (B)

Depart from the hotel by the air–con van to Doimaesalong where you will visit the Chinese village on the mountaintop and buy some of the local product for example; tea, coffee and fruit for the gifts. Along the way make a stop at the Hot Spa and see the nature, which offer the beautiful scenery. Usually in the cool season the Thai Cherry trees are in the full bloom and you can touch.
Enjoy your lunch at Doi Mae Salong (arrange by your own)
After then, transfer to Chiangrai Airport for departure flight
Depart from Chiangrai Airport(afternoon flight)
